The digital tourism promotion campaign “Breathe Again”, launched by the Ministry of Tourism in 2021, was awarded during the LatAm Travel Video Awards (TVA) 2022 in the category of Best Travel Advertising Video.

The “Travel Awards” (Latin American edition), considered the most important in the world, were announced in Medellin, this Friday, May 20

The “Travel Awards” are considered the most important travel video awards in the world. For this reason, its arrival in Medellín, for its Latin edition, becomes news, and a cause for joy. The organization will be in charge of the Bureau of Medellín and Antioquia, through Citizen Networks, creators of the awards. They announced the names of the winners this May 20, at the Botanical Garden.

During the ceremony, held on May 19 and 20 in Medellín, Colombia, 17 awards were given to the best travel videos of Latin American destinations in different categories such as: adventure, ecology, destination marketing, documentary, among others.

The Breathe Again – campaign had the contribution of several actors from the Ecuadorian tourism, creative and audiovisual industry, who contributed to the development of the concept, the compilation of shots, the locution, the translation, among other resources.

The objective of this campaign was to inform international travelers that the Galapagos Islands became, as of June 2021, the first archipelago in the region to complete its vaccination scheme against Covid 19, within the successful management of the pandemic of the Government of the Meeting, coupled with the commitment and discipline of its inhabitants.

The winning campaign included different communication pieces produced in English, Spanish, German and French. In addition, it was replicated in different tourism digital channels, in embassies, among others.
